marketplace with specialized personnel for the design and support of industrial
automated control systems. Smith Gray provides a source for new control system
design and installation. System capabilities can include advanced machine
diagnostics, data acquisition, factory wide networking and interfacing of all
the dissimilar components that can make up today's total plant control schemes.

Smith Gray Automation offers electrical drawing development, on-site startup
and customer tailored training for any type of automated control system. This
service is available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Smith-Gray is dedicated to
meeting project deadlines.
Coordination of large projects can be augmented by cost and time projections
to assure smooth project completion meeting pre-determined deadlines.

- Safety Statement : Smith Gray Electric is dedicated to the
safety of each employee. It follows a safety policy designed to keep
accidents at the lowest possible rate. Sound equipment and tools are
provided to ensure everything possible is done to maintain safe working
conditions. It is the express goal of our company to provide a safe and
accident-free work environment. Our objective is to reach this goal by
establishing safe work practices among our employees. It is also our goal to
stay aware of current O.S.H.A. regulations and policies and to strictly
follow these.
- Training Statement : We believe at Smith Gray Electric that when an
individual increases his/her knowledge that the individual and the company
both benefit. It is our policy to encourage employees to participate in all
training courses and educational activities possible. We have an Industrial
Electric training program in conjunction with Columbus Technical Institute.
This course consists of six quarters of Basic Industrial Electricity and one
quarter of Programmable Logic Controllers.
- Drug Policy : All new employees will be required to furnish a
certificate of drug testing before beginning work. Mandatory drug testing
will be required for all Smith Gray employees, including management. The
random selection of names is by a computer program. Employees are notified
when they receive their paycheck and are required to be tested with-in 24
hours of that notification.
- Quality Statement : To ensure the utmost in a quality electrical
installation, Smith Gray has instituted a quality assurance plan. Part of
the plan is in the employment of skilled tradesman with years of electrical
experience and a caring attitude, that take the quality of their work
personally. Another part is by equipping employees with quality tools to
allow them to perform quality work. Our four year apprenticeship program,
which allows apprentices to be trained both in school and in the field,
develops quality workers for our company to depend upon in the future.
